This new developmental tracker has been designed to support the 2024 EYFS and the updated Development Matters Pathways.
These trackers enable practitioners to use a child centred appraoch to both assesment and planning.
In both the EYFS 2024 and Development Matters 2023, there has been a big move away from 'tick list' type assessment. Instead, practitioners are encouraged to use the Development Matters Pathways as the starting point for their own curriculum to support and scaffold children's learning and development.
These new trackers will help childcare providers to record down key notes as well as progress made, in a constant working document. This will enable you to reinforce, secure and support children's knowledge and skills which can inform both your planning and assessments.
* Now includes Observational Checkpoints which are a great way to ensure children are meeting developmental milestones and gives an opportunity to put strategies into place to support the child if they need it.
